Hey guys, I currently live in WA where my brother also lives. I’m in the military and I separate in 4 months. I want to work for Microsoft and my bro told me to apply for a Business Admin job cause their the easiest to get into and it’ll be my way into the company. From there after a while I can try to branch out from that position.
From my research I’ve found that that job is pretty much how it sounds. An office clerk of some sort. Send/receiving emails, doing paperwork, setting up meetings..etc.
Does anyone know how hard it is to get into that position and how hard afterwards would it be to apply somewhere else? Also how much do they typically get paid and what’s the work/life balance in the position.
I understand that beggars can’t be choosers but i also need to be able to put food on the table and feed my kids.
I see the life my brother has and I’m almost jealous because Microsoft as a company has always shown him support. He’s been in the company I’d say 10 years now, and like i expect too he’s worked hard to be where he’s at now. I don’t mind being a “assistant of some sort as long as I can grow myself within the company.
Anyone with any help would be greatly appreciated. I’d hate to have to leave the state because I can’t find decent work and WA is pretty expensive.
