Why would someone create a Facebook account with my full name, add all my closest family and friends, but use a random photo as their profile picture?

Unfortunately I don't have any screenshots of the account, but randomly, a few months ago, my sister told me that she received a friend request from an account with my first and last name, but with a photo of a random girl that neither of us knew. I looked up the account, sent them a message questioning them about who they were, but never received a response. After a few days I saw that the account was adding more people that I knew, which freaked me out. I decided to report them and the profile was gone that same day.I've tried to think about who this person might be, and why they might want to create such an account. If the photo was one of mine then the intent would obviously be impersonation, but the photo was completely random. No one I knew had any idea who she was. A reverse image search provided no help, either. I asked the 10 people she added (all of the closest people in my life), if they had any idea who was behind the account, but they seemed to be as dumbfounded as I was. My very recent ex-boyfriend at the time actually thought that maybe it was ME behind the account after I asked him about it. After we broke up I deleted him from my friend's list, and he thought it was me trying to add him back. Why would I do that, though? For a second, his deflection actually made me think it was him behind the account, but why?? I had no explanation.I don't have a large social media presence or anything, and have never found any other accounts trying to impersonate me before this. This obviously isn't a serious issue, especially since the account has been removed, but I'm still curious as to why anyone would make a fb account with my name, add all the people closest to me, and yet use a photo of a completely random person with no resemblance to me? If anyone has any theories, I'd love to hear them.
