My Android app doesn't have an option for gift cards

So I was thinking of buying an Uber gift card for use in emergencies if I need it. I'm looking at the site for how to use the gift cards:

Particularly this point:

1. Below 'ADD FUNDS' tap 'PIN/Gift Code' (You can also go to 'Add Payment Method' and select 'Gift Card')

In my app, I don't have an option to Add Funds, or to select a Gift Card as a payment method. I just have the option for "Credit or Debit Card" and "PayPal"

Is there something wrong with my account maybe? I even uninstalled and reinstalled.

I just checked the actual website and logged into my account, and it looks like I can add it as a gift card there. But not sure if it'll actually work in the app if I buy one and add it...
