As someone who owns way too many VR games, I'll just list some favorites off the top of my head.
WHAT AM I FORGETTING??
Skyrim and Fallout 4 are full-sized AAA titles that work well in VR.
Blade & Sorcery - sword fighting arena game
Gorn - Ridiculous comedy-violence
Beat Saber - the killer app for VR, slice colored arrow blocks to electronic beats
SUPERHOT VR - amazing bullet-time combat-puzzle game
Arizona Sunshine - Full-on zombie survival adventure, scares the daylights out of me
Jet Island - absolutely astonishing open-world movement adventure game, basically you are ironman + spiderman + silver surfer. Movement reminds me of TRIBES (you will need solid 'vr legs' to not puke)
SHOOTERS
Pavlov VR - This is Counter-Strike, but in VR. Best multiplayer title available IMO
Onward - This is ARMA, but in VR. Also a good multiplayer experience, excellent locomotion system
Zero Caliber - This is COD, but in VR. Its okay. Performance is a bit lacking
War Dust - This is Battlefield 2, but in VR. Pretty great
Stand Out - This is PUBG, but in VR, and even jankier than real PUBG
Contractors - This is more like Bad Company? Solid title
SIMULATORS
DCS World - Jet planes and whatnot
VTOL - full cockpit simulation, really well done
War Thunder - Full-on F2P dogfighting game in WW2
Ultrawings - enjoyable flight-sim lite, learn the basics with virtual cockpit controls
Elite Dangerous - massive space-sim, daunting learning curve. Pretty much requires a Joystick/HOTAS setup
House of the Dying Sun - not exclusively VR, much more arcadey than ED, works great with twin stick controller
Vox Machinae - This is Mechwarrior, but in VR
DRIVING
Project Cars 2 - Great performance, impressive physics
Assetto Corsa - Awesome graphics and cockpits, janky UI in VR though
Trackmania Turbo - Its Trackmania, but in VR
V-Racer Hoverbike - F-zero meets mario kart on hover-bikes? Its fun
OTHER STUFF
Overload - This is Descent (6-dof flying corridor shooter), but in VR (motion sickness simulator)
Rec Room - Its free, has lots of mini-games, and you can talk shit to children
SportsBar VR - has the best VR billiards, as well as darts, air hockey, and more. Also cross-platform with PSVR
Star Trek Bridge Crew - play out traditional Star Trek missions with your friends, also cross-platform
Tales of Glory - This is like Mount & Blade, but in VR. Kinda janky, bad physics and collisions, bad combat compared to Blade & Sorc, BUT it supports literally hundreds of simultaneous AI battling it out with you, which is fun
FLAT GAMES WITH VR MOD OR SUPPORT
Quake and Quake 2 - works incredibly well in VR, really fun
Doom 3 BFG edition - pretty impressive, crashes a lot, better than DOOM VFR imo
Alien: Isolation - No motion controllers, but holy hell this is scary in vr
Subnautica - No motion controllers, tracking is janky, but sense of scale and distance is great in VR
I'm probably forgetting a few things, but all of these are very playable and easy to recommend.
