I am having difficulty figuring out who, are currently my friends, have unfollowed me. Friends vs. Followers vs. Friends Who Aren't Following you...

So confusing...As I understand it, if I unfollow a friend, they remain my friend but I won't see their posts on my News Feed.So if I see that I have 300 friends, but I only see 100 followers, does that mean that 200 of my friends unfollowed me? Like, they chose not to see my posts on their News Feed?Thanks!
