Little bit of a rant here. So, my Xbox One X finally died. Popped an E105 Error Code, which a quick google search tells me is a Hard Drive Failure, a known issue with One X's (apparently). After cycling the power a few times, I attempted a factory reset. Threw a few more error codes with both E105 and E102, and I finally gave up and reached out to customer support to see about a repair. I bought the console used from a local mom and pop game store as an upgrade to my aged original Xbox one; the SN is quite a ways out of warranty, I knew it would cost me some cash to get her all fixed up.
It doesn't cost some cash. It costs quite a bit to get it fixed up, in fact. $249 USD, which I find to be an INSANE price, particularly when I bought the thing for $110. I get it, reasons like this are why a person should consider getting extended warranties, but $249 bucks feels like highway robbery. I have been an Xbox fan since the OG Xbox, but after this I have a seriously bad taste in my mouth.
