Uber won’t give ample compensation for poor experience

Tonight I took an Uber and the moment I got in I could immediately smell the stench of vomit. At first I thought I could ignore it then I realized it was coming from the seat belt that was ON ME and when I looked over my shoulder I could see a red stain on the seat and all down the belt. That. Still. Felt. Damp. I took off the seat belt thoroughly disgusted and nauseated. I said nothing to the driver because I didn’t want to make the ride any more uncomfortable. It also left a wet line down my shirt from the damp belt.

As soon as I changed from my vomit tainted clothing, I contacted Uber thru the app and told them of my experience and offered the pictures (albeit not great ones) of the vomit and my shirt. They responded and gave me a $5 credit. It was a $20 uber ride. Would you want to pay $20 to sit in vomit? (I asked them this) I usually never complain about anything, but this was disgusting and honestly a health hazard. How am I to know what germs may have been in the puke? When I messaged again, they said they had offered ample credits. I then asked for a supervisor and they said “I have reached the highest level of support for this concern” and they will “investigate the driver partners access to uber”.

Is there anything else I can do? I find it ridiculous. I have taken dozens of Uber’s over the past few years and spent literally hundreds of dollars. Any input appreciated
