I don't use uber very frequently, but last night I went somewhere with no problem, but I had some issues on the way back. I got the receipt and it said "Payment failed: Your UberCash balance was insufficient, so $11.96 will be due on your next ride." Like I said I don't really use Uber and I've never even heard of "UberCash" I thought my debit card would be billed directly. It's weird because the uber I took on the way to the event billed me normally, but not on the way back. I don't see myself calling an uber anytime soon, so I don't know when I will be billed. Will they slap late fees on me? How can I just pay off my balance? I sent a message through the app, but is there anyway I could speak to an actual person from Uber to deal with this? (When I called their 1-800 number it said it was only for emergencies) Is this something that happens often? What can I do?
